Cosmetic Consultations & Skin Treatments in Hamilton, Brisbane

Aesthetics By Boss offers twelve consultations and skin treatments from a boutique clinic on Racecourse Road. Every one of them begins the same way: an assessment with a qualified Cosmetic Nurse, before anything is recommended or booked.

Below, each service is set out in full — what it is, who it may suit, what the appointment involves, and the terms you will hear during it. Suitability is individual, results vary, and a consultation is required before treatment.

How your visit works

Assessment first, treatment second

The order matters. Understanding the person, then the structure, then explaining options in plain language is what makes a plan defensible — and what stops treatment happening before it should.

1 · Initial discussion

We begin by discussing your aesthetic goals, concerns, and medical history to understand your unique needs.

2 · Facial analysis

A thorough assessment of your facial structure, skin condition, symmetry, and proportions is conducted.

3 · Treatment planning

Based on our analysis, we create a customised treatment plan with recommended procedures and expected outcomes.

4 · Education and questions

We explain each recommended treatment including potential risks and benefits, and answer all your questions.

Consultations

Six consultations, each an assessment in its own right

Consultations are where suitability is decided. None of them commit you to treatment, and each one ends with information rather than pressure.

Consultation45–60 minutes

Facial Aesthetic Consultation

A facial aesthetic consultation is the assessment that every plan at Aesthetics By Boss starts from. Your Cosmetic Nurse reviews facial proportion, skin condition, medical history and what you would like to change, then explains which options are appropriate for you — and which are not.

It may suit you if
  • You are considering a cosmetic treatment for the first time
  • You have had treatment elsewhere and want a second opinion
  • You want a plan sequenced over time rather than one appointment
What the appointment involves
  • Discussion of goals, concerns and medical history
  • Assessment of facial structure, symmetry and proportion
  • A plan with the risks and alternatives explained

Skin Health & Rejuvenation

Rejuvenation here means supporting the skin’s barrier, hydration and resilience rather than chasing a single result. The consultation identifies what is driving dullness, dryness or uneven texture before any treatment is recommended.

It may suit you if
  • Skin feels dry, tight or reactive through Brisbane summers
  • Texture and tone have changed gradually over years
  • You want a routine you can actually maintain
What the appointment involves
  • Review of your current products and how your skin responds
  • Assessment of barrier condition and hydration
  • A layered plan combining in-clinic and at-home care
ConsultationAssessed at consultation

Facial Volume Assessment

Faces change structurally with time, not just at the surface. A facial volume assessment looks at how volume distribution influences balance and proportion, giving you the information to have a considered conversation about options.

It may suit you if
  • You notice shadowing or flattening rather than lines alone
  • You want to understand ageing changes before deciding anything
  • You prefer subtle, proportion-led discussion over trends
What the appointment involves
  • Mapping of facial thirds, balance and proportion
  • Discussion of what is structural and what is surface
  • Clear explanation of options, risks and alternatives

Skin Health Support

Ongoing guidance between treatments, for clients who want their routine reviewed as seasons, life and skin change. Useful when a plan is working and you want to keep it that way.

It may suit you if
  • You have completed a treatment plan and want to maintain it
  • Your skin behaves differently in summer and winter
  • You want product decisions checked before you buy
What the appointment involves
  • Review of how your skin has responded since your last visit
  • Adjustments to routine, order of products or frequency
  • Guidance on when to return and what to watch for

Excessive Sweating Management

Hyperhidrosis is sweating beyond what temperature regulation requires, and it affects clothing choices, work and confidence. The consultation assesses your presentation, discusses possible contributing factors and outlines what management may be appropriate.

It may suit you if
  • Sweating interferes with work, study or social situations
  • Antiperspirants have not been enough
  • You want to understand the options before committing
What the appointment involves
  • History taking, including patterns and triggers
  • Discussion of areas of concern and their impact
  • An outline of management options and their limitations
ConsultationAssessed at consultation

Facial Contouring

A structured conversation about non-surgical options for definition and balance — jawline, chin and mid-face proportion — with realistic expectations set before anything is booked.

It may suit you if
  • You are curious about definition without surgery
  • You want to know what is realistic for your face
  • You have been recommended something and want it explained
What the appointment involves
  • Assessment of proportion, projection and symmetry
  • Explanation of what non-surgical options can and cannot do
  • Documented plan and consent discussion
Treatments

Six treatments, planned around your skin

Treatments follow assessment. Strength, spacing and aftercare are set for your skin type and the recovery time that suits your life.

Skin Exfoliation Treatments

Professional exfoliation removes surface cells mechanically or with acids and enzymes. Strength and frequency are matched to your skin — considered exfoliation can support smoother texture, while over-exfoliation compromises the barrier.

It may suit you if
  • Texture feels rough or looks uneven
  • Congestion appears in oilier areas
  • You have plateaued with at-home products
What the appointment involves
  • Patch and suitability assessment before treatment
  • Acid or enzyme selection matched to your skin type
  • Aftercare guidance including sun protection

Light-Based Skin Therapy

Light-based therapy uses defined wavelengths to support a range of skin concerns, often as one layer of a broader plan. Suitability depends on individual skin, including how it responds to UV.

It may suit you if
  • You want a low-downtime addition to a plan
  • Skin is sensitive and needs a gentle option
  • You are supporting recovery after another treatment
What the appointment involves
  • Skin type assessment, including Fitzpatrick classification
  • Wavelength and session planning
  • Realistic discussion of what light therapy can support

Skin Microneedling

Also called collagen induction therapy, microneedling creates controlled micro-channels that engage the skin’s own repair response. Suitability, spacing between sessions and expected downtime are discussed at consultation.

It may suit you if
  • Texture, scarring or laxity concerns you
  • You are willing to plan a course over months
  • You can commit to sun protection afterwards
What the appointment involves
  • Assessment of skin condition and contraindications
  • Depth and area planned for your skin
  • Detailed aftercare for the first 48 hours
TreatmentAssessed at consultation

Jaw Muscle Relaxation

An assessment focused on the jaw and surrounding musculature, including clenching and grinding patterns. It is a structured conversation about whether any considered options may be appropriate for you.

It may suit you if
  • You wake with jaw tension or headaches
  • A dentist has raised grinding with you
  • You notice jaw muscle bulk changing over time
What the appointment involves
  • History of clenching, grinding and jaw pain
  • Assessment of muscle activity and facial balance
  • Explanation of options, risks and alternatives

Skin Care & Wellness

Skin rarely responds to products alone. This pairs professional treatment with the practical wellness factors — sleep, sun habits, hydration — that shape how skin behaves between visits.

It may suit you if
  • You want the whole picture, not just a product list
  • Results have been inconsistent
  • You are rebuilding a routine after over-treating
What the appointment involves
  • Review of lifestyle factors that affect your skin
  • Simplified routine built around your barrier
  • Realistic checkpoints to review progress
TreatmentAssessed at consultation

Skin Wellness Treatments

A longer-horizon program for clients who want skin health managed over time rather than treated in isolation, with review points built in.

It may suit you if
  • You prefer a planned program to ad-hoc appointments
  • You want progress reviewed rather than assumed
  • Long-term skin health is the goal
What the appointment involves
  • Baseline assessment and documented plan
  • Sequenced treatments with review appointments
  • Adjustment as your skin and seasons change

Aftercare

What happens after your appointment

Aftercare is part of the treatment, not an afterthought. The general guidance below applies to most appointments; treatment-specific instructions are given to you at the clinic.

  • Avoid touching, rubbing, or applying pressure to the treated area for at least 4–6 hours
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and hot showers for 24–48 hours
  • Use gentle, fragrance-free skincare products on treated areas
  • Avoid direct sun exposure and use SPF 50+ sunscreen
  • Contact the clinic immediately if you have severe pain, unusual discolouration or signs of infection
Questions

Answers before you book

Do I need a consultation before treatment?

Yes. A consultation is required before any treatment so your Cosmetic Nurse can assess suitability, review your medical history and explain the risks and alternatives. Treatment is only provided after that assessment.

How long does a consultation take?

A facial aesthetic consultation runs 45–60 minutes. Other assessments vary depending on what is being reviewed, and the time needed is confirmed when you book.

Who performs the treatments?

Treatments are performed by Shae Petersen, a qualified Cosmetic Nurse, who works alongside Dr Ronelle De Wet, medical practitioner. Shae holds a Bachelor of Nursing and a Graduate Diploma in Cosmetic Nursing.

Where is the clinic?

Aesthetics By Boss is at Shop 6/68 Racecourse Road, Hamilton, QLD 4007 — a few minutes from Ascot, Albion and Hendra, and around fifteen minutes from Brisbane City.

Can I have treatment at my first appointment?

Not always. Some plans begin the same day, others need time between assessment and treatment so you can consider the information given to you. Your nurse will tell you which applies.

How much do treatments cost?

Cost depends on the plan discussed at your consultation, so we confirm it with you before anything goes ahead. Contact the clinic if you would like an indication before booking.

Is there downtime?

It varies by treatment and by individual. Expected downtime is discussed before you book, and the aftercare guidelines set out what the first 24–48 hours usually involve.

Do you offer follow-up?

Yes — the clinic’s aftercare guidance covers what to watch for, and you are asked to make contact if anything concerns you during recovery.

Important: All cosmetic treatments are performed by qualified practitioners following Australian health regulations. Individual results may vary. A consultation is required prior to any treatment to assess suitability and discuss realistic expectations. Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
