Start With the Concern

Most people arrive asking about a treatment they read about. It usually works better in the other direction — describe what bothers you, and let the assessment decide what, if anything, addresses it.

Eight common concerns Assessed at consultation Hamilton, Brisbane

At a glance
  • A concern can have several causes, and each responds to something different.
  • The same treatment appears under several concerns — context decides its usefulness.
  • Some concerns are medical, and the honest answer is a referral.
  • Every page here ends at the same place: an assessment, not a booking.

Why concern-first works better

Treatments are tools. On their own they say nothing about whether they suit your skin, your budget or your tolerance for downtime. Starting from the concern means the conversation begins with your situation and ends with options, rather than beginning with an option and looking for a justification.

It also avoids the most expensive mistake in this industry: buying a treatment aimed at the wrong category. Surface treatments do not fix structure, and structural work does not improve skin quality.

The eight we see most

If none of these fit

These are the eight most common, not the whole list. A facial aesthetic consultation is the right starting point for anything else, and the knowledge hub defines the terminology you will encounter along the way.

Frequently asked

Common starting questions

I have several concerns at once. Where do I start?

That is normal, and it is what an assessment is for. Concerns are usually prioritised by what is bothering you most and what has to be stabilised first.

Do I need to know which treatment I want?

No. Arriving with a described concern is more useful than arriving with a treatment name.

What if my concern turns out to be medical?

Then you will be told, and referred to your GP or a dermatologist. That is a legitimate and common outcome.

Can concerns be treated in one visit?

Almost never. Most plans are built over months with review points, and that is explained before you commit to anything.

Bring the concern, not the treatment

Describe what bothers you. The assessment works out what — if anything — is worth doing about it.

Important: All cosmetic treatments are performed by qualified practitioners following Australian health regulations. Individual results may vary. A consultation is required prior to any treatment to assess suitability and discuss realistic expectations. Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
