Skin Microneedling in Brisbane
Also called collagen induction therapy, microneedling creates controlled micro-channels that engage the skin’s own repair response. Depth, spacing and aftercare are set at consultation, not by protocol.

How microneedling works
Microneedling creates microscopic channels in the skin, which engages the body’s natural repair processes — the reason it is also known as collagen induction therapy. Nothing is removed; the skin is prompted to rebuild.
Because it works through your own repair response, results build over weeks and across sessions rather than appearing immediately. Suitability, frequency and expectations are discussed before anything is booked.
Who it suits
- Texture, scarring or laxity concerns
- People willing to plan a course over several months
- Anyone who can commit to diligent sun protection afterwards
- Skin with an intact, well-supported barrier
Assessment first
Active acne or infection, a compromised barrier, certain medications, keloid tendency and recent procedures can all be contraindications. Depth and area are chosen for your skin.
The first 48 hours
- Leave the skin alone for the first several hours — no makeup, no actives
- Cleanse gently with lukewarm water and a fragrance-free cleanser
- Expect redness and a tight, warm feeling for 24 to 48 hours
- Use only the moisturiser and SPF 50+ recommended for you
- Pause retinoids, acids and vitamin C until cleared
Full guidance, including when to contact the clinic, is in the aftercare guidelines.

It is usually planned as a course over several months with review points. The number depends on your skin and the concern being addressed, and is agreed at consultation.
How long is the downtime?
Redness and a warm, tight feeling for 24 to 48 hours is typical. Individual recovery varies, and expected downtime is discussed before you book.
Is microneedling painful?
Comfort varies by person and depth. What to expect, and what can be done to make you more comfortable, is explained before treatment begins.
